Barbero delights audience with charm and medieval history

Prof. Alessandro Barbero’s capacity to give a modern-day interpretation of medieval history charmed and delighted our big crowd.

Around 350 people of all ages attended the event which was presented jointly by NIAWA, the Dante Alighieri Society Sydney and the Italian Institute of Culture at the Canada Bay Club, Sydney.

It was Alessandro Barbero’s first visit to Australia and guests were enthralled by his capacity to talk history in a most engaging, entertaining and memorable way.

Guests lined up to meet him both before and after the talk affirming his inter-generational popularity.

Alessandro Barbero is one of Italy’s leading history and culture commentators and it was a grand honour to host him on our stage.
